I just got lucky. People no-showed. I went to adult skate and had a lesson . We worked on my free dance changing some of the steps at the end of the program. On the following session - a dance session - I was the only one on the ice. My music didn’t play very loud so I have the volume turned up - but it also turned up the volume of my blades grinding into the ice. Sounds pretty crude!

Working on the Rocker Foxtrot Rocker… It’s a Thing
Time to get back to work on the Rocker Foxtrot. I asked for some help on the rocker during my lesson. Hard turn for me on my own.

Yay for private ice! Great for ice dances and program run-throughs. Your pre-silvers are coming along. I don't even know how many years I've been working on mine. Are you planning on taking your free dance to Adult Nationals?
ReplyDeleteI don’t think so. Im not too motivated to compete - travel, etc. I started it because I thought potentially I might do it at adult sectionals being held in Spokane next March. I think my competition days are done though. Dance is not easy. I can’t skate enough to make any progress on the three turns and posture - and twizzles.. ugh 🤦♀️
ReplyDeleteI see. It is hard to figure out where to put our figure skating time-- we could use longer lifetimes on the ice to do all we want. Maybe you will still do it next March, just for the fun of being there and seeing folks.
