Had an amazing vacay with hubby to Hawaii, across the Pacific, down the coast of Mexico and Central America, through the Panama Canal and even a stop in the port of Havana, Cuba. Price of all that .... and a camping trip for our anniversary on the heels of the cruise..... 1 1/2 months without skating.
That is the longest break I have had since I got back on the ice at age 52 (I’m now 58).
First impressions: RINKS ARE COLD
Second impression: MY FEET HURT
Third impression: THIS FEELS WEIRD AND UNNATURAL
But ... the hour went well. I vowed not to fall and I tried everything I felt I could handle for day 1.
I feel good about it.
