Spent the morning watching football. Decided to skate at Frontier Ice Rink in the afternoon. Got on the ice and promptly fell 10 minutes into the session doing back crossovers ... click-plop-slid-spin .... kind of looked like a break dance. People came up to me to ask me if I needed help or was ok....

You know what they say about a bad practice or a fall before an important skating test or competition - it's actually good luck. It helps you get all the nerves out before the big day. I usually take a hard fall on something like backward crossovers (happened 2 weeks ago) or mohawks. Just shake it off and consider it good luck! =)

ReplyDeleteI have to laugh when I see the videos played back. From a distance it all looks rather flowing and graceful - reality is I am so out of breath most of the time I can't finish 1 run through. As for the falling on my bum ... I HATE IT WHEN THAT HAPPENS
