Sunday Practice

Normally I take the weekends off.  Now that I have deadlines and major goals to accomplish I have to get in as much ice time as possible.  My friend Heather was there which made it nice.  She will be competing in March as well in the Adult Bronze II category.

No major accomplishments today, but I think I have realized that I am going to forego any thought of putting a Layback spin into my technical program.  I don't care what it's worth.  My back is really sore from trying and I think I will tell my coach today to change it to an attitude spin.  I would rather do a good attitude spin than a bad layback.

  1. I'm trying to figure out what spins to put into my program too. Trying a few new ones which probably won't make it in. I'm signed up for Sectionals now so I will see you there, in fact I think we will be in the same group. It's seeming close now, isn't it!

  2. I think I have this stupid Layback and my coach wants a back camel for my technical… she kills me. I want something I can execute with some skill. I'm going with a camel spin in my artistic and I haven't started my dramatic yet… but this layback has to go… my body just won't bend! Look forward to meeting you!

  3. Yes, it will be fun to meet! I don't think layback's happening for me and I've never even tried back camel--- I want to put in a forward camel spin but it probably won't be good enough by then, an attitude spin is a maybe. I can do sit spin to back scratch, so I may put that in. Or sit-change-sit if I can get that, I'm working on it.

Getting busy on these Silver Dances

I have been working on these silver dances too long!   Planning to go all in on them until I can test them in the next few months.
